With their mission of “Health for All,” KentuckyCare provides compassionate healthcare to every patient who seeks it.
KentuckyCare offers certain possibilities for those in difficult financial circumstances. With the openness of federally backed discounts and reduced fees for health services, these discounted medical rates can help families who need it the most.
Values and mission
KentuckyCare supports health for all and individualized care for all. This means providing quality services regardless of the cost. Being a member of the ARcare family, we put our mission at the forefront of what we do on a daily basis. We thrive off of serving our community and making our services available to each and every member.
Our values make us who we are. Here at KentuckyCare, we value attributes like teamwork, a positive attitude, stewardship, integrity, respect, and improvement, to help you get to your best health and live your best life.
Not only do we carry out these values in our medical facilities, but we also make our vision come to life through each of our pharmacy extensions, primary care clinics, and numerous healthcare services. With our vision to be the largest primary care provider in Kentucky, our family health center wants to welcome you, no matter where or what you come from, through our doors and into our helping family.
What is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)?
Perhaps your family is going through a rough time and needs the funds to get the proper health care they need. Although it is not a free clinic, KentuckyCare can help. “Health for All” means that no matter the financial status, background, or family‘s health history, the clinic is available to every patient who needs assistance.
A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is a health care provider that puts the community first. With incoming funds from the Health Resources and Services Administration, places like KentuckyCare are able to offer and provide these health services in low-income areas.
You and your family can receive primary care services regardless of your insurance status. This is done through a sliding fee scale that is tailored to your ability to pay. This program provides funding at lower rates and helps patients afford treatment regardless of the patient’s income. With care for certain common sicknesses, diabetes treatment, and women’s health services, the center covers the basic treatments patients can expect out of their visit.
Why do you need a primary care doctor?
Primary doctors offer many benefits. With our model for affordable costs for our patients, KentuckyCare can get to know you and your medical history, which can help us best serve you and your health.
For optimal health care, having a primary care doctor can help you establish an ongoing relationship with your doctor who is aware of not only your family‘s medical history but also your own. A primary doctor can offer the convenience of going to one medical provider for all your medical ongoing needs, from check-ups to sick visits.
This can also help save you from getting on the waiting list at clinics, which might be extremely detrimental to your health (and not at all convenient). With our health for all mission, we believe that it should also encompass a health for all your family members mentality, as well. With a primary doctor, you are also able to extend your checkups to your family members, giving you a one-stop place to go to for the entire family.
