KentuckyCare in the Community
As a community health center, KentuckyCare is focused on contributing to the community, providing for your health, and ensuring your well-being.
Our largest community project is the KentuckyCare Shoe N 4 Kids, where we collect athletic shoes to give to a child in need so that they can get up, get out, and get moving.
The first KentuckyCare Shoe N 4 Kids in March 2016 was a great success. We set a realistic goal at 100 pair of new athletic shoes, and a stretch goal of 200. We were humbled that 303 pairs of new athletic shoes were contributed.
For 2017, our goal is 500 pairs of new athletic shoes. The KentuckyCare Shoe N 4 Kids kicks off March 30th and wraps up June 2nd. WPSD Local 6 viewers, Paducah Sun readers and WKMS listeners will be encouraged to donate at any of KentuckyCare’s four medical clinics and participating retail locations.
Join us in putting smiles on children’s faces and encouraging them to get up, get out and get moving. It is amazing the joy caused by the simple act of giving a child a new pair of athletic shoes.
Here’s how you can help:
Shop and donate shoes.
Host a KentuckyCare Shoe N 4 Kids collection box in your office lobby.
